Attract. Don’t Chase!

ClipsOn Memorial Day weekend we went dolphin fishing (mahi mahi…not flipper!) as a family for the very first time.  It was very exciting!

But it didn’t start off that way.  After circling the ocean for what seemed like hours, we finally stopped at what looked like a good spot and threw out bait to attract the dolphin.

My 10 year old daughter caught the first and largest dolphin…….and in about 15 minutes, we had caught 8 beautiful fish.
When we were done, my all-knowing brother decided to share wisdom with the kids.

He said, “do you know the secret of fishing?”  “It’s part luck…being in the right place at the right time, where and when the fish are hungry…and offering them something attractive that they like.”

I thought…wow…isn’t that so true of marketing too?

Rather than hunting down prospects, isn’t it smarter and easier to attract the “ready to bite ones” with information, education and helpful tips?

Content is king when it comes to your website, blogs, youtube channel and other great “fishing sites”.  Find where they’re at, and lure in the hungry, ready prospects with attractive information.  By generously offering quality information, you’ll find yourself attracting better qualified prospects who are interested in your services with ease.
